Athenrye were formed in 1993. The band were together for 10 years, during which time they recorded six fabulous best selling albums of Irish ballads and traditional music.

Joey Bracken - Rhythm guitar and lead vocals.
Terry Manton - Lead vocals, banjo and bass.
Mick Murray - Mandolin and vocals.
James 'Gash' McGinley - Drums, whistles and vocals.
Athenrye Live
In 1998 the band recorded their first live album. 'Live at the Barrowlands' which was recorded in front of 2000 fans in one of Europe's top concert venues - The Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom.
The album includes two previously unreleased tracks - 'Whiskey in the Jar' (One Sunday Morning) and 'Go on Home British Soldiers'.
The End of an Era
New York City has been a second home to the Irish for over a century. So where better to end an incredible ten year career of touring and performing all over the globe.
